At the core of the 828U is Benelli’s patented Steel Locking System and plate, designed to contain firing pressure within the barrel and eliminate stress on the receiver and hinge pins—common failure points in traditional break-action shotguns. A compact, easily removable trigger group enhances safety, reliability, and ease of cleaning, while the unique opening lever delivers a smoother, more consistent opening action.

The 828 U’s strikers reset when the top lever is unlocked—not when the barrels open—delivering a smoother, more consistent opening action. Left-hand models are available with a left-hand opening lever.

A solid steel breech block locks directly to the barrel, keeping firing pressure contained and protecting the receiver and hinge pins for long-term durability.

The 828 U’s compact, removable trigger group simplifies cleaning and eliminates complex linkages between the forearm and trigger, delivering increased reliability and consistent performance.

The 828U is the first over/under with a fully adjustable stock. Five drop and four cast shims create up to 40 fit options, helping shooters achieve natural alignment for improved accuracy.

Built into the walnut stock, the Progressive Comfort System delivers smooth, consistent recoil reduction with both light and heavy loads.
