Seth Dortch

Social Ambassador

Seth Dortch is a trusted figure and influence in the outdoor and shooting space. His career reputation in marketing, branding, and product development and his impact through hunting and conservation comes from the love and passion he has to be an active participant in his work, and operate at the highest standard.

Born and raised in Northwest Tennessee, he began waterfowl hunting the Mississippi Flyway with his dad. Dominating the skies with Benelli has been a part of him for his entire life. The value he found in the Benelli brand and our product began with his dad buying a Super Black Eagle 1 in 1996 - Seth was 1 year old. He chooses the best with Benelli because he has seen Benelli perform time and time again throughout his development as a hunter. He spends most of his time hunting with his family and the Final Flight Outfitters hunt club in Northwest Tennessee, in addition to traveling to many different places and regions.

His favorite Benelli platform is the Super Black Eagle 3. If you asked him to describe it in one word, he would say "workhorse".

Benelli Ambassadors Questions

Benelli: How long have you been a Benelli ambassador and what does it mean to you to be associated with Benelli?

Seth: Three years. It is an honor to be a leading voice for a brand that myself and countless hunters and shooters all over the world trust in. That is why I hold myself to such high standard of operation to represent a brand that does the same.

Benelli: How long have you been hunting or shooting and what got you into this sport?

Seth:I started going hunting when I was 5 and started shooting when I was 10. Waterfowl Hunting with my dad is what got me into it.

Benelli: If you could only have one Benelli firearm, what would it be and why?

Seth: H&K Super Black Eagle 1. It was the gun where my belief of the Benelli brand and products all began growing up watching my dad use it.

Benelli: What advice would you give youth who want to be professional hunters or shooters?

Seth: Do what others won’t. Work while others don’t. Take action and be consistent. Set your standards high and work towards progress. Learn to adapt & overcome. Find someone you admire that is at the top of the game, learn about how they got there, and capitalize on the opportunity you have to apply the principles. Commit to preparation and trust God for the provision.

Benelli: If you could hunt or shoot with one person, who would it be and why?

Seth: My daughters. I want to help them engage in their own experiences and help them understand the responsibilities we have as hunters and shooters.

Benelli: Coldest / most miserable place you’ve ever been while hunting? Was it “successful” though?

Seth: ’22-’23 Waterfowl Season in Tennessee. Winter Storm brought in extreme weather and temps into the negative teens. It was a very successful stretch of hunting but a lot of adapting & overcoming was required.

Benelli: What was your first firearm and how did you get it? Do you still have it?
