Raised in the mountains of West Virginia, Maddy Wasmer, known as Maddy Hunts, developed a passion for hunting and the outdoors at an early age. Inspired by her father and grandfather, she grew up bowhunting and exploring the woods, building a lifelong appreciation for wildlife, conservation, and outdoor traditions.
What began as a love for hunting evolved into a career in outdoor photography, videography, and storytelling. Through FST Outdoors, Maddy combines her passion for the field with her creative talents, capturing authentic hunting experiences and sharing the outdoor lifestyle with audiences across the country.
In 2026, Maddy put her outdoor skills and determination to the ultimate test as a contestant on Netflix's Outlast: The Jungle, where she faced the demanding conditions of the Panamanian wilderness. Her experience showcased the resilience, adaptability, and perseverance that define her approach to life and the outdoors.
Today, Maddy continues to inspire others through her hunting adventures, photography, and dedication to encouraging more women and young people to experience the outdoors. Whether behind the camera or in the field, she remains committed to sharing the traditions and experiences that shaped her love for hunting.
