Bob Wetherald
Meet Bob Wetherald
Bob Wetherald was born in 1962 and grew up surrounded by the country lifestyle of historic Southern Maryland, a scenic area that offers some of the best fishing and waterfowl hunting opportunities on the East Coast. The region is known for its abundant agricultural fields and waterways that lend to the influx of a wide variety of migratory waterfowl in the fall.
Bob has enjoyed fishing and hunting since a very early age — his first goose pit expeditions came at the age of 10 and he took his first deer two years later. In middle school, he enjoyed hunting wood ducks in Zekia Swamp along Southern Maryland’s Wicomico River. From fishing the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean, to hunting the beautiful waterways and wetlands of the area, Bob continues to pursue his passion for the outdoors with his trusted Benelli shotguns and the excitement of the next day’s opportunity. He shares a view of the Potomac River with his wife and two children, from their home in Charles County.
Bob runs Mid River Guide Service, a hunting and fishing guide service that covers the lower Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. He is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain and holds licenses as a Maryland Resident Fishing Guide and Maryland Waterfowl Outfitter/Guide. Bob holds two “All Maryland Angler” Awards and is a North American Hunting Retriever Association member and test judge.
