This week marks the beginning of a new viewing season for those who watch “outdoor” TV. Benelli USA is presenting two shows on the Outdoor Channel. In its second season is the award-winning, and highly popular Benelli Presents Duck Commander, featuring the Duck Commander, Phil Robertson and his Louisiana duckmen. This season they will be matching wits with not only the ducks, but also Mother Nature herself. They face high rainfall and floods that not only scatter the ducks, but the threaten their homes and business. Tune in to see how they cope and watch as they put the new Vinci to the grueling test of a “Duck Commander” duck season.
The show airs Tuesdays at 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.(EST). This is “must see” TV. Let me know what you think of the show.
Next comes Benelli On Assignment (BOA), which I’ve enjoyed hosting for the past four years. I’ve traveled to some great locations around the world with top writers and photographers. In those places we showcase the great Benelli USA brands. This season you’ll see many different conditions in many different areas. We travel to big game areas in Botswana’s Okavango Delta and Kalahari Desert. In North America we face extreme-weather conditions in coastal duck marshes, deer woods and the western plains.
With BOA you not only get to see the TV show, but also the story and photos about the hunt in your favorite outdoor magazine. Catch BOA each week on Wednesdays at 5 pm (EST), Fridays at 9 am (EST) and Saturdays at 11:30 am (EST).
The Benellis we used this season include the new Vinci, the Super Black Eagle II, M2 and the Ultra Light. The newest addition to the Benelli lineup is the Legacy 28. I’m very impressed with this gun’s lightness and handleability. It looks good. It has the feel of a slim, graceful gun that will please the over & under types. This just might be a quail hunter’s dream gun.
Visit your local Benelli dealer to see and handle this gun. Let me know what you think of it. I think you’re going to like it.
Speaking of Benelli’s, have you heard about the “Vinci Challenge?” The challenge is to assemble and disassemble a Vinci in less than 15 seconds—and do it on video. If you can do it, then post your video to the Benelli Official Fan Page and win a prize pack. Check out the rules and details on the Benelli USA website.
We’re always looking for new and challenging venues to try our guns. We also want to keep viewers involved, so suggestions are always welcome.
Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy July 4th weekend celebration of our Country! Comment
