Practical Speed Performance™ (PSP)

PSP

The real performance timeline of “speed” involves more than just the rapid cycling of the action. It must also include:

  • Quickness of mount
  • Immediate target acquisition
  • Fast fire
  • Instant recovery
  • Rapid, reliable follow up shots

This is what Benelli calls PSP — Practical Speed Performance™

To incorporate PSP, Benelli took a comprehensive approach that integrated several key factors into the Super Black Eagle II, M2, SuperSport, Cordoba and the revolutionary new Vinci.

The Inertia Driven® action, the heart of the Benelli semiautomatic shotguns, which provides superior balance, and light weight, combined with the ComforTech® system, promoting reduced recoil and minimal muzzle climb, allows the shooter to experience the real timeline of performance speed. This is where the Benelli guns have no equal.

To put it simply, PSP is the practical “speed” shooters seek, which becomes a matter of how fast can you shoulder the gun, acquire the target, shoot, and recover from the recoil to prepare for the next shot. In other words, shoot... recover quickly... shoot again faster.

In-Line Inertia Driven® System

The In-Line Inertia Driven® action’s bolt and rotating bolt-head operates simply and efficiently on a single axis. This innovative design means reduced movement during recoil, resulting in less muzzle climb for quicker follow-up shots.

ComforTech Plus

ComforTech™ Plus System

The ComforTech® Plus is the most important part of PSP. To take advantage of the simplistic speed of the In-Line Inertia Driven® System, and the benefits of the customizable fit of the QuadraFit™ Buttstock, it was necessary to reduce recoil and minimize muzzle climb without adding weight.
