Benelli’s ComforTech® system revolutionizes firearms technology. For centuries, the laws of physics have defined shooting comfort. If you wanted less recoil, your choices were to make the shot charge lighter or the gun heavier. Reducing the shot charge compromises on-target performance, and increased gun weight affects the speed and balance of the shotgun.
Reduces felt recoil by as much as 48% over the competition!
You can’t repeal the laws of physics, but sometimes you can fool Mother Nature. Benelli reached outside the firearms industry to materials scientists, computer specialists and design engineers to take a fresh look at recoil and how to tame it. The result? A new stock system that reduces felt recoil by as much as 48% over the competition. It’s often said there’s nothing new in guns, but the ComforTech® system is unlike anything ever seen before. Previous generations of firearms designers never had access to the computer modeling, high-speed photography and state-of-the-art synthetics that make this revolution in shooting comfort possible.
The gel recoil pad puts more shock-absorbing material against your shoulder to spread recoil. There are no hard inner structures that push against you. The soft, comfort-fitting gel recoil pad takes the sting out of magnum loads like no conventional recoil pad can.
Computer simulation showed Benelli engineers the path of recoil (blue areas are minimum stress) through a gun stock. The ComforTech® stock was computer designed so that even the exterior shell flexes to dampen recoil.
The ergonomics of the gel recoil pad are so carefully engineered that there are separate versions for left- and right-handed shooters. The pad is shaped to conform to the contours of the shoulder for maximum contact.
