Default P 350 problem

I've been having a problem with the fore-end not locking out all the time. Sometimes when I load it, putting two shells in the bottom first, then pumping it and putting a third shell in, it won't lock out after the third shell. If I load it by putting a shell into the ejection port first, then two in the bottom its fine until I shoot one. Then I load a shell into the bottom again and it doesn't always lock out. Could this be a mechanical problem with the gun?

Default same here

just took mine to the gun smith because not only was it doing that but it was also double feeding(meaning it would try to load 2 shells at once).

Im getting the gun back tomorrow and talking with the gun smith,I will let you know what he has to say.

Mines doing the same thing, I'm thinking of beefing up the spring for the shell retainer. I shoot one, pump, one shell hits the ground as I chamber the last one...

My p-350 is doing this also. Did anyone ever find out what the problem was? Thanks!

Default Hmmm....

Well, I just tried to duplicate the problem and can't now. I was shooting buckshot instead of duck loads. I just wonder if the recoil from waterfowl loads isn't part of the problem. I haven't let the thing get dirty, everything has been cleaned thoroughly every time I get home from an outing.

I get the feeling though that the 3rd shell is actually getting past the shell stop. When I actuate the shell stop with my finger, it doesn't have nearly as much resistance that my Rem 870 did. I haven't really looked at very close but I wonder if the catch surface isn't rounded or tapered a bit. It's that, or the magazine spring is too taut and pushing the shells past the stop before it can recover.

I'm not too interested, I doubt your slug barrel will do much for Black Cloud 3 1/2" steel.

Well, I used some wire to "shorten" the mag spring and I haven't been able to get the gun to spit out the last shell while cycling. I can see that the mag tube is a bit wide and the shell can lean away from the stop causing a reduced catch surface. I'm betting this is my problem.

Being a Stoeger I'm sure I won't have an easy time finding a ready made fix. They just aren't that popular. I'm having one heck of time finding a shorter butt plate for it so I can shorten the stock just a bit for a better fit.
