Question for the experts here: Is it legal to have the pistol grip and four-shot extension on an M1 or M2? Thank you!

From what I understand, this combination is only legal on a shotgun produced in or before 1989. Definatly a no-no on an M2 and Later M1's. I have spoken in length to a very knowledgeable dealer about this. You can have one or the other on a newer shotgun but not both. I'd really like to have this combination as well.
