I just purchased a bennelli nova 12 guage and it came with three choked the f, m, and jc. I was told you had to use a specific choke to shoot slugs or you could blow your barrel. I would like to know whick one to use and how they all differ in usage. Or do i have to have a different barrel?

I can't remember exactly which choke the factory recommends to use with the slugs, but it will be in the literature that came with you gun.

If you can't find it look at the factory chock page, it will tell you what can be used.

Write back if you don't find it.

Benelli's site recommends using a CYLNDER choke, an Imp Cyl will be the max constriction you want to use. You may even want to buy one of the Rifled chokes they have or from Cabelas to help get the slug started spinning before it leaves the barrel.
