M3 purchase?

I am concidering the purchase of a new M3 for personel defense and a fun skeet gun. My concern is whether the gun will function in semi-auto mode with light 1oz. target loads. Your experience please.

I have 2..(.2 M3s & 2 M4s)..One of the M3s is an H&K benelli M3...with a 26" Ribbed field barrel...the other has the 19.75" Tac barrel Newer Model Benelli M3)......All 4 shoot even the WallyMart cheap stuff....Not one malf....Well..I did try some of those Mini Ag black shells...& they will function (especially in the Gas op'd M4..but both tend to drop 2 of the little short shells into the lifter area...They'll shoot if you only load one in the chamber & one in the Mag tube...I pulled the rear ghost rings off the 26"..& use it only for Dove & West Texas Blue quail...Skeet & clay....really reachs out there...& shoots cheap with Wally Mart $35.80 a case 12 ga ammo...

Update= just fired two boxes of one oz. target reloads in a brand new gun and it worked slicker than snot! no hang ups or failures to cycle
