Hello all, I've recently acquired a Benelli Special 80 semi automatic shotgun for skeet shooting, but was unable to find any information on it.
Does anyone know any information on it? What possible year it's from, or what is the possible value of the gun? Is it good for skeet/clays?

    Any information is GREATLY appreciated.
    thanks!

Hi skeetgirl - Benelli switched production of the special 80 to the super 90 around 10 or so years ago. So your gun is @ 10yrs old or older.

Approximate value will have to be set by someone who can see and rate the condition of the gun. So your best bet is to take it in to a gun shop/smith and have them look it over.

They'll also be able to look-up the gun in their books and give you a better idea of when it was produced by referencing the serial #.

If you have them check it out for you to make sure it's functioning correctly and is operating safely - If it is - take it to the range and shoot it to see if you like it.

    Good Luck
