Question Modern Breaktop pistol in .38 or higher Double Action or Singel/Double

    Hello,

First post so hopefully this goes well... Will Uberti or any of the sub companies within ever make a modern top break in a .38 or higher caliber that has double action or Double/Single action? I have been in Law Enforcement for 20 plus years and would like to go old school on my backup or off duty weapon... and this fits in my wheel house.

I have made the mistake buying older models that were not safe or reliable for what I want.... thanks for your time

My advice as a retired LEO for a back up gun is a DA 38 Spl revolver like a S&W Model 442 or 642. I carried a S&W Model 38 Airweight Bodyguard nickel finish, but they don't make it anymore. Make a pocket holster from a plastic milk jug and duct tape and PRACTICE with it.

    Default Top break

'73 and S&W.jpgI can't say that any newer style pistol turns my crank. Maybe a Python or Diamondback. I do like old Smith top breaks SA. I bought this Beretta Laramie a few years back. I love it.
