El Patron wrong markings?

I recently purchased a uberti El patron stainless 45 .but the barrel is only marked with the word "custom" colt 45. Not "EL PATRON"There is no numbers on the cylinder but all the other markings are legit.Customer service bumped me over seas and a rep told me after she got the numbers on the gun that it was a early production "show and tell" for the heads to peruse and asked me how I got it.Can anyone verify this or give some history here? Thanks.
