I found that a pair of thin needle nose works better than the snap ring pliers I have.

If you notice in the two pictures the plugs look different on the end. I have a twelve and a twenty guage. The plug for my twenty guage looks like the one in the camo Affinity and the plug in the post right above looks like the one in my twelve guage. Does anyone know if the 12 and 20 gauge affinity plugs are different?

Just to be clear, they do ship with a plug correct? this is set to limit to 2 in the magazine?

    Default 12 Ga Affinity questions

    Hey guys,

I just bought a franchi affinity and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a few things similar to mine. I just took it out shooting for the first time last night and I noticed to little quirks.

First, part 12 on the diagram TAV 5 (Page 11 in use and maintenance illustrations) pops out during recoil sometimes. It's just a little plastic piece and it isn't a big issue but it's kind of annoying after paying $800 for a gun. Secondly, there is a bit of play between the barrel and the breach, anyone else experiencing this?

    TrentCL,

I had the same problem where my synthetic stock cap popped out at the trap & skeet range. I agree, annoying after dropping 800$. I called Franchi & they are sending me another cap (60+ days before they'll have it in stock though). In the meantime he said to just glue it in.

For anyone else if you've experienced this problem....
My swivel stud in the end of my fore-end cap drops down into the cap between it and the magazine tube and sits in there and rattles. I can't tell from the manual what is supposed to hold that swivel stud in there (R. Wakeman briefly commented on a retaining ring...)? Any help would be appreciated.

    WK,

I don't think the swivel stud/post for the sling should drop down into the forearm cap. I think it should stick out and spin, to accommodate the movement of the sling.

Check out the picture of the Affinity on the Franchi web site at http://www.franchiusa.com/franchi-affinity-shotgun/# .

    Kolohala,

Yeah, I was certain it wasn't suppose to do that, but do you know what holds the swivel stud/post in the cap?

It looks like a piece of plastic.
