    Default Warranty Issues

After finally hearing from a Stoeger rep. after posting on here a few months ago about an Uplander that had a stock issue, I sent my gun in for repairs made under warranty. A chip of the stock spontaneously flew off while shooting a round of skeet. It appeared that my gun was in good hands while under repair, but when I got my gun back, it was hardly in better condition than when I sent it in. The "new" stock had scratches on it; while the scratches were not overly exaggerated, it was disappointing to see what appeared to be a used stock on my gun. There was also a notable scratch on the right barrel. Something resembling metal shavings were found in the action of my gun. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with Stoeger; I expected much more. I was looking to buy an M3500 for my younger sister, but I don't think I will make any Stoeger purchases in the future. I have sent an email so hopefully they can make it right.

If you are looking Stoeger, be sure you are in love with the gun before making a purchase. I would not recommend it.

    Alec,
If despite all your efforts to contact Stoeger and you are not satisfied I would STRONGLY recommend filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Years ago I had a problem with a Savage Model 111 30-06 and after contacting Savage got blown off. A friend recommended the BBB and in 6 days my problem was resolved.

Good luck, let me know how you make out.

    Alec,

I'm sorry that you have had a bad experience with your Stoeger shotgun and our warranty repair center. I would like to rectify the situation asap. I will private message you so we can discuss this situation and get the problem resolved.

WOW! It seems just the possibility of calling the BBB get's results.

Mr. Hertz, I did personally talk to Mr. Heinlein and he seemed to want to make everything right. They have sent me another warranty slip to send the gun in again to get fixed up. I do think they will get it right, it is just a matter of sending the gun in and waiting. We all want to be shooting, but stuff happens. I do appreciate the response I got from Stoeger.
