    Default I12 Stock Problems

    Hi all newboy alert !

I need help, bought myself a lovely I12 "WhiteGold" and although a bit short for me liked it so much I thought I could sort that out later. I'm 6'6" and need a long gun, I ordered the largest recoil pad at fitted it which now makes it 15.5 inch but still need another inch maybe inch and a half. I therefore bought a beartooth neoprene sock but it moves about on the shoulder when mounted. Don't want to just stick the gun away in the cabinet with the others as I love the way it shoots. What more can I do..............?

Have you simply tried a slip on boot style recoil pad. I think that Pachmayer used to make one that came in 2 ifferent thicknesses. Or For $50.00-$75.00 you can have a gunsmith add a grind to fit hard black plastic spacer to the end of the stock and then replace the reciol pad. If your gun has a plastic stock you can still have it cut of just at the curveed in area of the stock and replace it with spacers but you will have to use as regular type recoil pad instead of the "S" shaped pad that came on your gun. When you take the pad off you will see that there are long tube like plastic areas in the toe and heel to place the screws. I did it my self and used the Kick EZE special purpose pad with the sloted area near the toe of the pad to allow for variable placement of the screws. But you will have to make a new upper hole for the heel screw. I used a disc/belt sander to shape the pad.
For some folks simply extending your left hand (forearm hand) as far as you can out on the forearm will give you the same feel as if it was longer.
