Default Franchi Instinct SL & L

Since both guns have a single-selective inertial trigger design, and barrel selection is via the safety button on the top tang.

For example: if you select the upper barrel, fire and then immediately fire again will the lower barrel fire or do you need to 1st select the lower barrel?

I have both the Instinct L and SL models, Sic1 is correct if you push the safety up and to the right the lower barrel will fire first and you would simply pull the trigger again to fire the upper one, just be sure to fully release the trigger before pulling it for a second shot. Pushing the safety up to the left would reverse the sequence.
I have read that these guns use an inertia system to cock the second barrel but am unsure because both barrels will fire in proper sequence using snap caps and as I understood it inertia mechanisms require the recoil of the first shot to cock the second barrel, does anyone have more info on this.
