M2000/M3000 What is the difference
I have looked at them both carefully and the only difference I can see is that the M3000 has a factory drilled and tapped receiver. Can any one shed any light on this?

Looks like the 3000 has a different mag cap (Slightly), a shim kit, drilled and tapped and a slightly different butt pad.

so.....
Nothing internally? I think the operating system is the same. So it sounds to me like the 2000 might be going away and the 3000 has a few feature upgrades and will replace it. Sounds good to me, I think I want one.

I have two M2000's and love them both. Both guns have been great, no problems. The one thing I wish I had was a drilled and tapped receiver on my tactical 2000. So for me I would get the 3000. Both use the ID system so it is very simple and easy to maintain. Good Luck.

M3000 is drilled and tapped. M2000 isn't
M3000 includes a shim kit to adjust drop and cast. M2000 does not
M3000 includes IC, M, and F chokes. M2000 has C,IC,M,F,XF
The barrel extension has been changed to increase strength and accuracy.
Redesigned forend that captures the spring washers. M2000 has loose washers that can fall out
More ergonomic trigger assembly placement and design
Redesigned ejector assembly that is pinned into barrel extension, not screwed like the M2000
Redesigned camming system and locking head, locking head rotates off of a fixed cam pin in the bolt body and has two large locking lugs similar to the M3500 instead of the locking head and three smaller lugs like the M2000.
M3000 design more reliable and stronger.
