Default scope mount for a Stoeger 2000

I am looking for a Scope mount to use a red dot scope on my Stoeger 2000 for turkey hunting.
Does anyone have any suggestions or success with using a scope mount on this shotgun?
Being that the receiver is so thin you can't tap and drill it so I need either a saddle mount or some kind of cantilever mount.
I saw a B-square cantilever mount that attaches to the rib of the barrel, but I wasn't sure if that's a good idea or not. I have not found any saddle mounts specifically for a Stoeger but I did see some for Benelli's, maybe one designed for a Benelli would work for my Stoeger 2000, but which model, Super Black Eagle? Nova?
thanks in advance for your help

Yes, the B-Square model 16300 saddle mount will work just fine. I have one, brand new, taken out of original packaging, with all that comes in the package I bought a couple weeks ago for $56.75 shipped that I'll sell you for $45 shipped if you want it.

Stoeger makes a 20" barrel with a cantilever mount attached to it, B-Square makes a saddle mount and you CAN drill and tap the receiver and add a rail. Good Luck.

If you just bought it why are you selling it?

I didn't like it. There's a thread over on shotgun world in the stoeger section with a lot of people who love this setup and other places all of the reviews I read of it were always positive. My Benelli M1 S90 was drilled and tapped and I think I just have preferrence to that.

I want to buy one but I have seen cheaper. If you take 35 I will take it off your hands. Let me know.

I have a 20" barrel with a cantilever scope mount on my M2000. I would trade you barrels if you still need something. PM me if you do still need something.

I'm interested, but I would like to keep my barrel, because I like to do some upland hunting with this gun. How much would you sell this barrel to me and is this barrel compatible with the standard chokes?

It is compatible with standard chokes, so it could be used to hunt whatever you want. If I was going to sell it, I would need enough to buy another barrel, which wouldn't be a good deal for you. Let me know if you want to trade, you could use the 20" barrel for any kind of hunting you do. Main reason I want a longer barrel is so it will be more even with my magazine extension. I have a +6 on mine for 3gun. Tube sticks out around 6"s past the barrel. How long is your barrel?

Here's a pick of it mounted on the gun.

Let me see what the wife gets me for christmas and then I will get back to you. My only concern is if I want to shoot upland birds, how will I do that with that mount in the way? Is it removable from the barrell? What camo is your gun in, APG? I think my barrell is 26".
    Talk to you soon.

    Happy Holidays!!
