    Default M2000 Bolt sticks open

I have used my M2000 for mostly sporting clays, firing 2 3/4 Remington gun club loads. I recently tried to some 3" remington express magnum buckshot (00) and Hornady magnum turkey loads. The turkey loads cycled great but the buckshot was a different story. One shell and the bolt would stick open. I had to force it closed. I only fired two shells of the buckshot thinking that something was wrong. I checked the manual and saw that it says the gun should fire any 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. So I am defering to higher experience. I have seen the deburring and smoothing posts, is that he next step? I did notice the really rough finishes on the bolt and other moving parts while I was cleaning after the above mentioned situation. Ideas? Comments? suggestions?

    Default Update

quick update. I did some quick research and saw that the dram eq on the turkey loads and the buckshot are the same. Thought for a second that the buckshot loads my have been to hot for the gun. But the turkey loads cycled fine.

No all shell casings and metal bases are the same. It would be nice to be able to mike both loads. If yhou see rough spots by all means get rid of them.

Also make sure the little screw in the receiver ( torx head ) is not loose if it is put some lock tite on it and make sure is tight. That little sucker will stop the M2000 from working faster than anything else.

Thanks, I look at the screw in the receiver. Do you mean taking a micrometer to the loads and checking the outer diameter? The shells themselves cycled fine. The shells would load, charge, and eject with no issues. It was the bolt that stick open.
