well it certainly looks the part, have you shot it yet?
we (uk) never seem to get these specials. the only one i have seen from franchi in this country is the grifone, and they are rare. just missed out on one a few months ago. franchi is nowhere near as popular over here, apart from the minority who have used them. everyone seems to go to beretta/browning for their autos. i still prefer the franchi for its light weight.

I wish Franchi would bring back their 3.5 inch auto.. they discontinued it a few months before I bought my I-12.

you mean the 912 duck?. luckily i have one in not too bad condition.
a bit on the heavy side but a great gun for duck and geese. was discontinued as the benelli/beretta/franchi group started to produce the beretta extrema instead . sad day.

Yea that would the gun that I'm taking about... When it comes time to buy a new shotgun again, all I really care about is the reliablity. So its going to come down to the Benelli SBE or the Beretta A400.

I recently bought an I-12, I shot some trap friday and it shot fantastic. It didn't jam or misfire one time, can't wait to shoot some more this summer and hunt with it this coming fall. I'll post a pic as soon as I get a chance. Very nice guns in here by the way.

hi sjvoss5, and welcome to the forum. glad you like your I-12. i have never handled one so cannot comment,
there dont seem to be many in the UK!. a picture would be really good to help keep the post fresh and enable everyone to
see your I-12. good luck with the trap shooting, is it a trap gun or do you have to pull through the targets as if you were hunting?

just thought i would keep the post fresh with a pic of my outing today.
it was wet and not very warm but the pigeons played ball most of the day. lots refused to come into the decoys but enough made the mistake for an enjoyable day. finished on 127 picked and a few lost in the woods. still it will keep the foxes fed and stop them taking the game birds for a few days. the 712 sang well today with some outstanding birds taken up to 50yds away. 32g of nr6 did the damage and provided some good clean kills through 1/2 choke. a bit overkill for the close ones, but it makes you be more accurate as there is not much room for error with a tight shell and 1/2 choke at 20yds!!

hi nicewish000, cannot really understand your post.
the picture was taken inside a game chiller where the birds are kept before sale.
the total bag was 127, we do this for sport. but we do not waste anything as all the birds go into the foodchain.

Had a few hours out today with the franchi, not a big bag but an enjoyable one. decoying over freshly drilled game cover i managed 10 birds today.also shot 2 crows at the end the closer one being 45 yards and its mate came back for a look and was dropped at around 60yds!!, both lost in the oilseed rape. better than being in the house all day, the sky was blue and it was 24c, amazing for the UK.lol.
