Missing choke tubes.

After researching shotguns and chokes we bought a P-350 at Academy Sports on Friday. Chose this gun because both Stoeger and Academy advertised it as including 5 choke tubes but when we opened the box, there were only 3. Two in storage containers and one in the barrel. Now Stoeger is refusing to send me the missing chokes because they claim this is some kind of "special model" even though there's no mention of that on Academy's website or Stoeger's.

Academy's site clearly states: "Comes with extended full, full, modified, improved cylinder and cylinder choke tubes and a wrench" and Stoeger's says "And every P-350 comes with five choke tubes, so you’re covered for any type of game." So what's the deal?

Has anybody else had this happen to them? I'd seen a couple folks on other websites that said the same thing happened to them as far as missing chokes but when they called Stoeger, they were happy to send them out. Why all the sudden are they refusing? Looks like I'm gonna have to go back to Academy and raise a fit since they are unwilling to help as well saying "Oh, I guess we'll have to change the ad." Why should they, when the manufacturer even says they should be there.

Bought my son one @ academy last dec got all five. Bought me one 3 weeks ago same story as yours. My Acaemy was gracious to give me the turkey choke. Stoeger was kind enought to send me the missing IC choke. I would go back to Academy and talk to them. They advertised and should deliver

I would contact the Better Business Bureau in your area. I had a similar problem with a Savage rifle. The catalog said it came with a sling, but the box didn't have one in it. A friend of mine bought the same model, different caliber and hers had a sling. I called Savage, got bounced around till I talked to someone in sales, who basically told me "too bad, we stopped putting slings with that model" Despite me quoting to her what thier catalog said she didn't want to hear it.

I called the BBB and in 5 days I had my sling.

We tried calling Academy and they refused to do anything. Went to the store and had them open one up and it only had three. When hubby told them it was supposed to have five, the manager just said "oh this one only comes with three". She ignored him and walked off when he told her the website states five.

That being said.. Stoeger/Benelli has actually gone over and above in getting this resolved after a few messages were left online. I'd posted a comment on their Facebook page, Twitter feed and a feedback message from this very website. Got a response from a nice guy by the name of Mike who watches their FB and Twitter and an awesome Customer Service rep with Benelli named Kristan who took it upon herself to personally make sure we got what we were expecting.. and then some. Since we'd had such a rough time getting a resolution with the first Stoeger rep we spoke to and due to the fact that Stoeger's website still stated that ALL p-350s came with 5 chokes, we actually ended up being offered a bonus accessory to go with the gun, in addition to the two missing chokes.
The first phone rep had begrudingly offered to send out a Cylinder choke but refused us the turkey choke, which was the main one he wanted. She placed an order and unbeknownst to us at the time, sent it to the wrong state - she transposed a couple digits in our zip code.
Kristan pulled a turkey choke out of inventory and mailed to us personally, we got it in 2 days. She then placed a new one on backorder and offered us an accessory. We chose the cheaper of two cases that matched the gun's camo pattern. It was backordered as well, so Kristan offered us the Intercept case (which retails for over $90) instead. She put in an order and sent it out to the same address the first rep had put in the system. A few weeks passed and nothing happened... so I emailed Kristan again. She tracked the case and found out it had been returned on 12/31. After it came back she realized what had happened and set it back out with the correct address and 2-day shipping. I got it today along with the cylinder choke.
While the whole situation took way longer than any of us had planned (well except for the first rep, I know her name, but I'm being nice and not using it)... I have to say they did an excellent job of sticking by what they promised and absolutely went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase - especially Kristan!
If I called the BBB on anyone at this point, it would be Academy Sports.. but rather than go that route, I'm just going to say BEWARE and make sure what they advertise is what they really have. I'll certainly NOT be ordering anything from their website.

the same problem occured with me also as my 2 chokes were missing in the gun and as after that i complained the Stoeger about the missing chokes soon they provided me the spare chokes for my gun
