I had my 11 yr old out on the clays range last week shooting for the first time. I have an old AL48 that I would like to put a short stock on. I am thinking a length of pull of 12.5-13" should fit him better. The recoil is banging him up a bit as well given there is no pad currently on the gun. Can I swap out the stock or am I better off just buying him a cheap pump youth gun.
