Hello i was also in your situation about 3 months ago when i bought it I have to say i love this gun!!! And i bought a Charlson choke tube in a improved modified because i take the little farther shots.
Thanks I took it out goose hunting on Tuesday but no luck weather was horrible nothing was flying. Hoping to get it's first kill this weekend.
Duck season doesn't open up until October 1st.
is anyone having problems with the 3500 jamming while shooting lighter loads and if yes what is the fix
How light are you talking about? Out of the box I shot 25 rounds of 3" shells and followed that up with 25 rounds of 2-3/4"
1-1/8oz. 3 dram. 1200 fps. Federal target loads. It fired and cycled all 50 rounds perfectly. I don't have the recoil reducer in it either.
Shooting 50 shots is hardly a test. Most 3 1/2" guns of any make dont like 2 3/4" target loads at all, and i dont care what make or model you have. Some will some wont......
I have read it will not cycle 2 3/4" shells with the recoil reducer in it. I do not know for sure because i have not installed the recoil reducer yet.
I have shot almost 20 boxes of 3" and 3 1/2 other than one misfire, the gun has been flawless. I knocked down a 22 pd goose shooting Winchester Xpert 3 1/2 # 2 at 40-50 yards. I have not shot the 2 3/4 but will do so this summer
