M3500 Bolt Handle Pin Loose Upon Re-Assembly
I just purchased my M3500 Stoeger and after shooting for a while yesterday I decided to break it down and clean it. Cleaning was successful, but when I placed the Bolt Handle/Pin back into the Bolt it was really loose and spins freely. There is hardly any resistance on the pin handle while in the bolt.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I have tried searching this site/all forums for answers before posting, but no luck there.
Thanks.

Hi, Ryan, refer here, for pics: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/show...-Tech-amp-Pics
In the 3rd pic, post#2, you will see the bolt from the left side. In the bolt-handle hole, you can see the head of the small detent pin protruding. Place a few drops of oil on the pin and using a small (1/16" or 1/8") punch, depress it repeatedly, until it moves freely. I suspect that you have some packing grease or debris in the channel. You can also shoot brake cleaner(aka, the cheap version of Gunscrubber) through the handle detent hole, visible from the face of the bolt, then dribble your oil in, and work the pin.
If you do the above, and the pin appears to be moving freely, re-try inserting your bolt handle. If it does not lock securely in place, I would suggest a new spring.

Yeah, I saw the response from Dave on SGW. Easy solutions are usually the best...
