    Default Condor problems..

So one year ago tonight I purchased my stoeger condor. I have put about i guess 750 rounds through it total (including both 12 and 20).

I have had to replace a hammer spring, and send it in to have to stock replaced because of the typical cracking near the receiver. Which I have put about 200 rounds through and its cracking again.

Well this morning I go to the shooting range to put a few rounds through with my brother. When I go to switch from the 20 - 12 I notice that the 12 has a crack in the receiver hinge. I called stoeger today before the end of my warranty period. I hope that since I notified them before the end of the purchase date that they will honor the warranty.

I do not see how it would even be possible to cause damage to this area. I have been running dozens of possibilities but none of them make sense. It had to have been a manufacturing process error. I keep it in a nice padded case and meticulously clean it every time i take her out.

Also, looking at the 20 gauge barrel, which I have hardly put any shots through, i may have noticed a small bulge half way down the upper barrel. Maybe 150 max. I can not tell if this is part of the manufacturing process or not. Unfortunatly, I don't have another stoeger 20 to compair it to.

Have any of you had a problem with this? Or anything similar? Up to this point stoeger has been wonderful about customer service. I hope that experience continues..

Stoeger is having me mail it in. It sounds like they are going to be honoring the warranty. Hopefully it will all be resolved quickly.

Good luck. I hope they fix the problem. Sounds like bad metallurgy.

    Well,

It looks like I may be having to send it back again.... I took the entirely new gun to the range today and on winchester ammo it seems to shoot fine, however the primer dent is very very slight after firing. RGL shots misfire about one out of every three in the upper barrel. They are mailing me a new hammer spring hopefully that will resolve the issue. If not, I will be sending it back again. Do any of you have any experience with this? How exactly does one change the spring? It doesn't look to overly complicated. Just want to make sure i dont screw up. Cheers!

Its not complicated at all. If you give me your e-mail address, I'll send you a link to disassembly photos.

The hammer spring is a piece of cake.

Really sorry about all the problems. When you had the stock replaced did they cover that under warranty? If not what did you pay for it to be repaired. I have the Condor and the same crack is by the receiver.
