After some time of shooting the ole girl... the recoil pad does not stay tight....... is there a aftermarket recoil pad that will fit it? the orginal seems cheap , all rubber, with nothing solid for hte screws to hold tight against...
thanks

I don't think there's an after-market pad that just bolts on. One of the brands has templates you can print to check the dimensions, can't recall which one.
I think you'll probably have to take it to a gunsmith or stock fitter, or buy a grind-to-fit pad and do it yourself. But grind-to-fit is much more of a pain in the neck that its worth.

KickEez is a good choice, and can be done pretty much by hand. Call brownells & check the hole spacing, but it should screw right on, for tracing.
Use a scribe, and trace the butt on the pad's hard back. remove. Use a Dremel cutoff wheel, and low speed, to cut through the hard plate, just outside your tracing. Use an Exact knife to cut through the pad itself. you can then dress the edges to final contour by laying a piece of 80-100 grit sand paper on a bench, and sliding the pad along. check your line regularly. Do final clean-up with passes on 200 grit.
KickEez is different than most grind-to-fits, in that you use slooooow speed and a coarse belt/paper, otherwise you'll melt the pad.
