Installing Mesa Quick Detach sling loop on M4

Just got my c-stock on and wanted to install it. There is a metal roll pin in the pistol grip. Do I punch it out prior to installing? It seems logical, but just wanted to make sure...

You have some work ahead of you to get that Mesa Tactical mount to fit.

is it at least worth it? is it stable and strong enough to support that heavy weapon?

Yes, it fits solid and seems to be built for supporting a heavy gun. I had to file and polish the screws so they would fit , taking off a little bit at a time. Imo careful/slow installation will make it a quality upgrade, don't just run a drill bit through a $600.00 stock and hope the screw gets tight.
