Read with interest the discussion threads on the Stoeger 3000. I have the side by side model (12G) and have thoroughly enjoyed using it on the range. While I have been running 00buckshot through it to this point, I do intend to take it out for sporting clays soon. That will mean sport loads, and from what I have seen in the discussions, seems a common thread in the misfires and other issues. i pick my stf3000 up from dick's in fresno, ca tomorrow. really looking forward to taking it out to the trap range. i'm new to shotguns, but just finished my first AR build. sent tim & a couple of members emails on the disassemble. hoping to take it apart immediately. i will update with my experience after this weekend.

Tim... please send me the cleaning instructions for the stf 3000! I bought it last saturday. I cleaned it and ran 75 shells though it at the trap range 50 singles and 25 shooting doubles. It worked flawlessly. Cleaned it, put it in the safe until today. I got 3 shells through it until the ejector failed and i could not close the breech with a shell in bottom barrel. Thats when i realized this gun doesn't have a barrel selector on it. Kinda dumb right?

any way every club member tried to help, some are gunsmiths by the way and noone could figure it out. Except to say return it. I returned it to Dicks and they are sending it back to Benelli. 5-10 days from now ill either get one back or a refund. But I planned on using this gun as a loaner when nonmember friends want to shoot. I would like the cleaning instructions so that if / when i get it back i can start fresh.

I am not sure if the break down and cleaning applies to the Stoeger O/U Competition, if it does would you mind sending the instructions as the owners manual isn't very helpful. seissiger at msn dot com.

I just purchased my gun it made it thrugh 19 rounds and the lower ejector failed. It seems to have to much side to side play and allows the shell to fall below the ejector upon closing the breach. Sent it back under warranty should have it by Christmas.
