Sorry for doing it this this way but I want those cleaning instructions!
So station one all five shells jammed and would not eject so I looked like a muzzle loader reloading. Fire open stuck jam cleaning rod free shell reload fire it was terrible!
Station two first four shells same thing then the fifth shell ejected!
Third station first two jammed 3 ejected enough for a hand removal 4 and 5 ejected..
The rest of the round the shells would either eject for hand removal or actually eject. NO MORE MUZZLELOADER!
The good news is I shot a second round and not one shell did not eject so I think the lube had to set in. The bad news is that the action is still very rough and cumbersome but I think with a good cleaning it will work fine.
Ok now I can get the instructions but you guys are prob tired of this @%^
The gun swung great its heavy so the recoil is great after all that fiasco the send round was an 18. But due to one shell restrictions at the range I have no idea what to expect from the second barrell. I am going to Kansas next week and will put it through the ringer. (with a back up gun)
Now I can send a PM and clean the gun right!
Hi Tim - I cannot send you a PM until I post 10 times and don't want to repeat what the other guy did. The system also won't let me post my email address for you until I post 5 times. This is crazy. How can I get the cleaning instructions w/o repeating what Rootslayer had to do as that is not in the best interest of this forum?
Thank you.
I just bought a .20 gauge 3000 at Dick's for $350 like many others and took my son Sporting Clay shooting today. We put 100 shells through it with one misfire. The gun performed great. Ejectors worked perfectly every time. We were using relatively inexpensive Remington ammo (also from Dick's). The place we went to (near Cumming, GA) has about 5 3000's and has rented this exact gun for the past year+ and they have had great success overall indicating they have many Stoeger 3000's with over 10,000 shots through them with very few problems to-date. They have had two firing pin issues in the past year and have learned to call Stoeger and have them ship replacement firing pins and replaced themselves versus waiting over a month to get a gun back from Stoeger.
While I figured out how to disassemble it myself and oil it up a bit I would still appreciate Tim sharing any cleaning instructions with me. This crazy forum doesn't allow me to share my email address nor does it allow me to send a PM to anyone yet.
Thanks.
