    Tim,

I read the emails and cleaned the mechanism. I was amazed at how much junk I flushed out of there. I sprayed everything with Lubri-Plate Spay Lube A. Reassembled and took off to the gun range. And I was sure suprised. Everything functioned properly, the ejectors worked and both barrels fired. I truely love this gun now. Thank you so much for all of your help.

    Thank you,
    David

If I were you, I'd first try Dick's, tell them what's going on, and see if they can swap you a different gun.

If they won't go for that, I'd ask them to send the gun back to Stoeger for you. It'll save you the postage.

I'll still send you the instructions for making the safety manual. There's also a link on the e-mail that sends you to a photo essay of a complete disassembly of a Condor, which is a similar gun to your STF 3000. That way if you want to open it up to look at the inner works to see what you can see, you'll know what you're looking at.

Hi Tim - I just purchased an STF 3000 and would very much appreciate the email instructions you mention in this thread to make the safety manual and to properly disassemble and clean the entire gun.
    Thanks.

Took the new 300 12 ga to the trap range it was embarrising at first. I cleaned the gun first and oiled it well. Went out and was matched with four guys. One Baretta OU one Browning OU in the group. I called "pull" Bam one busted clay opened the action shell was stuck had to get a cleaning rod to remove it.

Re lubed the gun worked a spent shell in it for 10 minutes until it would eject the spent shell. ( in the mean time the boys kept banging away)
