Nickel Quality and Duration / Warranty of finish

I am looking at purchasing a set of the matched Cattleman's in Nickel finish.

Has anyone had any issues with the nickel finish on these guns or any others from Uberti?

Length of the warranty on the gun itself, and the warranty on the nickel finish?

Also - I take it these are the design with the hammer spur, and not the safety bar design like the Ruger Vaquero's. right?

I can't speak for the quality of the nickel finish. All of my Uberti's are case hardened/blued finished. I've seen a few CAS shooters using the nickel Uberti guns and haven't heard of any flaking issues.

The design uses a hammer mounted firing pin like the original Colt and doesn't have a transfer bar. That eliminates carrying all 6 chambers loaded. (The thought of riding the hammer down onto a live round gives me the chills since it's a negligent discharge waiting to happen.)
