    Question Winchester 9mm NATO Ammunition

I recently purchased a Cougar 8000F 9mm and along with it a few boxes of Winchester 9mm NATO ammo. I have a couple of questions regarding this particular round. First, is this ammo a hotter round (+p) than standard range rounds? Next - is the Cougar rated to be able to handle +P ammunition loads? I've read that manufacturers actually recommend using a 124 grain bullet for break in. Finally, what do those of you who have used this round think of it for regular use? Opinions & recommendations appreciated.

It will say p+ on the box if it is. I don't own a cougar but I don't think stoeger says its ok to shoot +p's

JWR, like Nova said, that ammo will be fine.

9mm Nato is just the designation on surplus rounds. Nato standardized it's side arms and that is why you see that type of headstamp on some calibers (7.62 Nato etc.).

Hot rounds will always be marked (from the factory) with the +P or +P+ designation.
