Default Field Test - Federal Flight Control with Multiple Chokes

I recently had the pleasure to test Federal 12g 00buck Flight Control Ammo with the standard Benelli (lll) Mod Choke and three new chokes from Mark (GTPSC) at BlackBore.

If you have a few minutes, follow me through the following photos...

The BlackBore choke is designed to slow the wadding down and keep it from interfering with the flight path of the shot.

You can see that the BlackBore choke extends past the muzzle and the proprietary cuts that inhibit wad movement.

In the above photo I fired a "Control Group".
The Center Mass Section of the target is 5.5" wide X 7.5" long.

The shots were made off hand from three distances.
8 Yards - The extreme distance for a room in your house.
16 Yards - Room to Room distance.
24 Yards - Possibly the largest distance in your home.

The Nine Pellet Federal did quite well out of the standard Benelli choke (lll Mod).
    8 Yard - 2" group
    16 Yard - 4.5" group
    24 Yards - 7.5' group

Do not expect anything close to this without Flight Control ammunition!!!

In the following three photos I tested the BlackBore Chokes.

Upper Left is (llll) Improved Cylinder
    Center is (lll) Modified
    Lower Right is (l) Full

Easily seen are some great groupings by all the chokes.

At 16 Yards we see a Flyer in the IC and the Full which skews the results but must be reported. The Mod holds firm. I waited to see if this would happen again at 24 yards.

As you could see in this last photo both the IC and Full had flyer's, repeated tests brought them out 70% of the time. The Mod stayed extremely consistent.

The end result was that the BlackBore choke had consistently tighter groups then the Benelli choke.

I would have to give this result to the wad inhibitor Mark has come up with.

Thanks all for reading and I look forward to the following discussion.

    And again,
DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING CLOSE TO THIS GROUPING WITHOUT FLIGHT CONTROL...
