    Default Stoeger/IGA coachgun newbie

I've just picked up a Stoeger/IGA coachgun in 12 gauge with dual triggers. I know the 2 barrels are choked differently. Can anyone tell me wich barrel is wich? Also does anyone know were I can download, or find an instruction manual for the shotgun? Thanks

Normally the right barrel is the more open. I don't know about the coach guns. If it has screw in chokes, it would be easy to tell. Just read the notches on the choke tubes.

Most doubles have IC in the right barrel and modified in the left. Pattern it at 10 yards with a sheet of copy paper tacked on a fence post. This will tell you more than I can.

You sound about right. I know the barrels are fixed choked IC and Mod, it says in the specificatons, I just wasnt sure wich was wich. Now that I've had a closer examination of the gun the left barrel dose have the word "modified" before "coachgun" on the left barrel.

Choke marking location: I have a stoeger 20gauge coach gun with dual triggers. Take off the forend. At the base of the barrel on the bottom of the barrel and adjacent to the muzzle end of the chamber you will see a series of + + + + and + + + markings scribed in the barrel. The right barrel 4 x + is improved cylinder and the left barrel 3 x + is modified.
