Default Stoeger Uplander Light Primer Strike

I recently purchased an uplander 20/28g combo set. Over the last two days I've fired 100 rounds of 28g AA Trap Loads and 125 rounds of 20g AA trap loads. The gun was thouroughly cleaned before todays session of 20g rounds and I had two light primer stike misfires between 75 and 100 rounds.

Is this something I should have checked out, or should I see if the problem continues?

Local gunshop thought I should fire another 100 rounds to finish breaking it in. I've never had this problem in any other guns I've purchased over the years, nor been told to break a gun in. I always buy and shoot SxS's or O/U's.

Did you remove the stock and spray out the action with Gunscrubber or some other cleaner? The shipping grease gets in front of the firing pins and they can't protrude far enough to pop the primers every time.

    Hope this helps.

No, I sure didn't. I'll do that and give it another 100 rounds. Thanks.

EV, thanks for the advice. I pulled the stock and found a piece of wood in the mechanics. most likely off the inside of the stock. There are some edges breaking off and I'll sand them out tonight. How much and what kind of lube should I use. I have some hoppies. Just a little lube on any pivot I see?
