Default Correct mount for 50 mm scope

I have a new R1 30-06 and I just ordered a Kahles 3-10x50 Helia CL scope to mount on the rail. I need advice on what ring mounts I should buy. Please advise.

If my memory works correst that scope has a 1" tube. i would look at the Leupold, Talley and Warne each company i've mentioned makes great mounts(steel etc.) pick your favorite from there. Lynn

If you were asking about ring height, then it would probably be best to wait for the scope to arrive and then try mediums.
They may not be high enough, so you can step it up to high rings if need be.

Yes, I was referencing ring height. The scope arrived yesterday and I went to Bass Pro Shops (where I bought the gun) to get it fitted. It looks like medium will work, but BPS didn't have rings I liked. So, it's back to net shopping.

    Film at 11 . . .

What rings were you trying to get? I have heard good reviews on the Warne.

I went with Leupold Mark V's in medium height. They arrive here on Wednesday and I'm pretty sure they will work. Film at 11 . . .

However, the safety on the R1 is not working properly and I may have to send the rifle back to Benelli before my first shot. Very disappointing . . .
