Question .22 cal: Ruger vs Uberti

I own a Uberti Colt .45 and love it. However, the ammo is too expensive even for target shooting once a week. The Uberti Cattleman Stallion .22LR looks great, and maintains the Colt .45 size even in the smaller caliber. But the cost is quite high compared the the Ruger Single Six .22LR. The Ruger also comes with an extra .22Mag cylinder. Will I be happy with the Ruger.

    Walt:

In my opinion, both are well-made and both should provide good service. I guess it just depends on what you want. The Ruger is a differently sized piece and has a "feel" of its own. If you like the full-size SAA size and feel, I'd go with the Uberti. If that doesn't matter and price is the key factor, then I'm sure the Ruger will be fine. As I said, they're both quality items in my experience and it just comes down to authenticity, feel and personal taste.

Your right. The size of the Ruger is different and that's why I have been hesitant to buy it. You get what you pay for, and if I want the fell of a full size revolver, I need to buy the Uberti. Thanks for your advice, Irish.
