Default Thinking of buying the Stoeger semi auto...

    Hi all,

Was looking into buying one but not to sure now having read some comments on this forum.....

I am upgrading from a Mossberg pump and only want it for more of a fun gun etc.... nothing serious.....

Not to happy with "bits" apparently falling off the gun but like the feel and pointing aspect....

Are there any more positive comments? Thanks in advance..

Hey Trojan, I have had my 2000 for a couple of years now and never a problem. You do need to break it in some by shooting a few boxes of heavy loads through it. I have read the stories in here but can't say why they had problems with their guns. Does it have a punch to it. Yes, but I tamed it with the Sims Limbsaver butt pad #10008. Now the recoil seems to be moderate and I don't mind shooting it at all. All I can tell you is that mine has performed flawlessly. The only other thing I can tell you is that the gun is what it is, an inexpensive firearm that can and will be serviceable to you if for the most part you take care of it. Personally I am from the old school! When you use it, take it home and clean it then put it away until the next time. I never could see abusing a gun by not taking care of it. You take care of it! It takes care of you.

hey I bought my m2000 a few months back and it's great so far. I was up in the air whether I should get it but I got a good deal and don't regret it. The recoil isn't as bad as most say. For the money it's a good all-around gun.

I love mine.. I put almost 500 rounds through it on the first weekend I got it.. No misfires , jams or anything. It fits me perfect too. I don't think it kicks as hard as my benelli nova.

I am the guy who got the gun made on Monday. Sent mine back 3 times before they got it to work, problems: misfires, shell feeding, bolt handle flying off often. In the end every part on the gun except the reciever and stock was replaced, so they made good on the repair but never another M2000 for me.

Now you got the good and the bad.

    Thinking of it?

    Don't.

Mine went back for failure to feed, and the infamous 'benelli click'. It still does the exact same thing. I updated my thread: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10686

I would buy another stoeger.. I know there not the best but they are good for the money. If you want a thousand dollar gun yeah go buy a benelli, but for $400 you cant beat them
