    Question New Waders

The boots are cracking on my 4 year old waders. It's time to get a new pair. I mostly hunt flooded fields and timber. Any recommendations. Cabellas appear to have a good product.

    THANKS

    Default Waders

I have been very pleased with my Cabela's waders. I have the super-mag 5mm. Plenty warm for those cold days but too warm for early season. I wear a pair a quality wader pants and it keeps me dry (you will sweat).

I went through several pairs before I found a pair comfortable enough to shell out the bucks for. I tried buying over the net but just became frustrated. Go to the store to pic them out.

I would like to go to the store, but Cabela's is a long way from Arkansas. I probably order over the internet.

    Thanks for the advice..

I wear the Cabelas Dry Plus un-insulated, and dress accordingly underneath. I'm never really in the water long enough to worry about the temp. Although I have been eyeing the Cabelas Ultimate 5mm for a future trip to Canada.

In Arkansas, you normally are in flooded timber or flooded fields. I will use the 5 MM.

I have found some good deals on wadders at Macks. Bought my last two pair ther. You might call and see what they have in stock on the closeout.

I have the Lacrosse 1200 brush tuff waders and love them. I hunt in Arkansas as well. On the really cold flooded timber days I wear a pair of water proof overalls under them and I never get cold. I have owned several other brands of waders and these fit the best.
