    Thumbs down I-12 problems?

I have started to see more problems with the Franchi I-12. You have had any problems with it post them here. If you've had nothing but sucess with it you may also post your love for this gun.
I'll start out with my problem: When I first got the gun nothing was the matter. It was the finest handling gun that I've shot, also the recoil was lighter than my 20 gauge. But then during Dove season the bolt handle just flew out. It took me about 20 minutes to find it. I thought maybe I just didn't push it in all the way so I put back in pushing as hard as could and waited for another dove. Well I sot again and the bolt handle flew ou t again. I have now gone back to my remington 870 in wait for Francji customer service to send me new bolt handles.

Have you received your bolt handles yet, I talked with one of the cs reps the week after Christmas and was told I would receive mine in three to four days, that time passed and still no handles, called them back and was told that they were on their way by boat and when they arrived they would be sent directly to me . I have a bad feeling that this ordeal could turn into months of waiting . I can not beleive they sell these guns in the United States and dont have parts over here for them, also could you tell me if you or anyone else on here has had to send their I-12 back for warranty repair and is this also going to be a long drawn out process

no I still haven't got my bolt hamdles yet. It has been way past the time cs said they would be here. The boat from Italy most be a slow moving ship. I'm pretty sure there is no speed limit on the Atlantic? Hopefully once they get here (after the hunting season probally) we won't have any more problems. Advice to any thinking about buying this gun don't! Save up a couple more dollars and buy a remington, browning.

I have a new I-12 that jams with every kind of ammo benelli has not replied in three weeks they have had the gun for the same time , I blew a 3 day duck hunt with it because it was the only gun i took, I will never make that mistake again, but in a way it makes me feel good that i;m not the only one who buys lemons.

Do they simply not answer the phone?
    Holidays, hunting season, Christmas rush.

Even still, them not answering the phone when you call is unforgivable!!

    I'm selling my SBEII immediately.

    Francis?

Yes I had had lots of issues with the bolt locking back and then it would not release. I would have to just knock the butt of the stock against the ground (not very hard but not lightly either) and then it would release. Very annoying!!

    Default bad problems

I bought the gun about 2 weeks ago, the gun would fire the first shell but wouldn't load the next shell. Tried 3 different quality brand shells with heavy loads. Took the gun back and the shop gave me a different gun. The next gun would cycle, but when I pulled the trigger, nothing happened. Ended up talking with another hunter later that day, turned out he had the same problem. The shop he bought his from had 6 guns returned in the last month with the same problem. I called my local shop and they have had similar problems. Needless to say I am going to exchange mine again and perhaps upgrade to a m-2 or go back to the super-nova. I hate that I have to waster my hunting season with a bad gun that I paid $700 for.

just got off the phone with cs and the bolt handles are still on there way here. It has been well over 2 months since I first called. The sooner they get here the sooner I get to sell it and buy a new gun.

I had the same problem with the bolt handle plus all the cycling problems. Benelli finally sent me two new bolt handles back in October. It didn't help. They flew out just as fast and far as the original one. The groove in the handle wasn't lining up with the detent in the bolt. They finally replaced the bolt in December. Now you need a pliers to get the handle out. However, the cycling problems are now even worse with the new bolt. They must have made one of these things that works.

finally after over two months my bolt handles came. From what I can tell it will stay in the bolt just fine now. I put it in and couldn't even get it out. Maybe I won't be selling it after all. Now I just need to go out and shoot it some time!
