    So let me see if I've got the facts straight here.

    1,000 or so dead mallards in a relatively small area. All appeared to have died from some sort of biological agent.

    Let's go investigate.

    Gloves? Masks? Moonsuits?

    Probably a few.

    Band recovery from die-offs is a part of most official clean up jobs. Band numbers are called in just as they should be with any other method of band recovery.
