I have an Uberti 1873 Cattleman SAA. Is the bore size .454 or .452? Even if it is .454, what would be the effect on accuracy if I used lead bullets sized to .452? Thanks

I have one of those. The only ammo I've fired through it so far is Winchester.....modern size is .452..........it keyholed every shot but one in fifty. I've gaged mine to be .454.........haven't tried that yet

Put a magnet to it, that will tell you! If it attracts, it's steel. HTHOriginally posted by Heerkampf:
