I purchased a 38/55 single shot Rem. replica rifle from another B.P. shooter , who advised that he bought it new from a Melbourne , Australia , dealer , called Century Arms . This dealer is now out of business . The rifle is approx. 20-25 yrs old , has not been used much , and seems to handle B.P. loads reasonably well . It handled duplex loads even better , judging by the targets the previous owner gave me . I cant get the same results with B.P. The bore size is .367" , the groove size is .373" , the receiver is stamped " Navy Arms " . I am advised that this could be a Uberti rifle . Suggestions for loads would be appreciated , as confirmation of the fifle Manufacturer .
