I'm thinking that when it is snowing or raining that that isn't the best time to hunt grouse. I think I'll try pheasant or ducks in that type of weather.

Uli and I traipsed through the mountains this morning in the snow and sleet, and all we did was get wet and lose our footing a lot on the wet and muddy hillsides. He had a blast running around, looking for birds, but we came home empty handed.

My limited experience with Pheasants is that they won't fly if it is raining.

They'll fly when it's raining. I have lots of experience with that. Plus, the moisture somehow makes it easier for the dogs to track them.
