Fields are a favorite hangout for turkeys when it's raining.
As you idea, Your picture don't very warm and wet. Have much die of bird. I think this isn't only a game.

Yep, look for open fields, especially if there are nice leafy woods on the edge.
Livestock pastures in the rain & after a rain are good places as well.

Oh and by the way tucker have you used your tags this season?
Just one of them. The other was to be used last Friday AM, but I passed a nice one at 25 yds. in hopes that my life-long hunting buddy would get a crack at him.
Alas, it was not to be.
Nonetheless, I feel like I did the right thing.
He's had his freebie for the year. Tomorrow, that bird is mine!

Rain in Ohio last Saturday AM didn't stop me from sitting on the edge of a field, next to a cow farm, on the edge of a leafy wood lot....end result, my first turkey! Nothing to brag about, but I'm not cherry anymore.
BTW, had a hen come in early and strut around my decoy and then proceed to kick the snot out of it. Has anyone ever seen a hen strut?
ive never seen a hen strut and i havent used any of my tags this year i could have shot a hen with a beard this morning but i passed in hopes of finding a big tom.
