    Decoys are ready.
    Boat is ready.
    Licenses are bought.
Blinds have been inspected, with wasps removed.
Geese are using the hunting area.
It's looking good, but I hope it cools off here!

We get Sept. 1-25, but there's no Sunday hunting and Vriginia, being a conservative stick in the mud, adopted none of the council's recommendations on raised limits or extended hours.
    5 per day, until sunset.

My better half is getting mad at me for having all of my gear laid out in a whole bedroom for around a month now. She says it's crazy....I say it's necessary to check the gear a few times before season starts.

I have been out scouting the last few mornings and I'm a little disappointed thus far with the goose numbers. The biggest flock we have seen is approx. 20 honkers. We secured 2 areas of private land to hunt and found another 2 on public land that we'll jump on. Our early season opens this Friday.......getting anxious now.

We took 4 opening morning. Not very many birds around, but hopefully the migs will be here soon. Saw a lot of ducks, though. A good number of teal and woodies. Good luck gents, and be careful.

Yesterday AM was a little too tropical stormy for me.
Went out in the afternoon and pinpointed about 50 going into a roosting spot.

Got two this morning, but I'll be waiting on them to come back this evening.

Saw perhaps 100 or so altogether this AM.
