Well, I have expressed my displeasure with my broken after nine shots-1885 High Wall. I sent it back on 13 Mar 06 and was told I wouldn't get it back for at least 5-6 weeks and I was IRATE to say the least.

Long story short, The rifle was back in my hands today. I did request to have it back before 1 Apr for a competition but it is very apparent that they did listen and tried to accomodate, 3 weeks and 1 day and that included shipping time.

Now time to salt my crow...

I apologize to anyone I have upset during my troubled times and rants. The Uberti folks did pretty darn good job. Time to e-mail them and give them my thanks.

BTW was a bent hammer pin.

    Thanks for listening,
    Treegunner

As I have said in earlier posts I have a high regard for the quality of Uberti guns. While no one likes to get a lemon one can't trash an entire product based on a sample of one. Glad to hear they "expressed" your repair. Follow up with a detailed shooting report after a few hundred rounds.

Ah Heck, this rifle is too pretty to be a Lemon or even to stay mad at. Maybe it's just being a little fickle.

I am waiting on longer tang screws for my Ukranian sights and a 45-70 base plate for my Dillon. I guess by next week she will start barking again.

I will definately gave a report.

Enjoy your gun Treegunner. Mine is fast becoming my favorite shooting piece! I hope to someday drop a buck in California's Sierra Nevada backcountry with mine. I have two handloads that it likes especially--smokeless and jacketed bullets, 300-gr. Sierras. Went to the range last Sunday and checked out my Marble tang's elevation adjustments: 7" high and 12" high @ 100 for 200 and 250 yard zeros, respectively.
