Hi, I have had some experience with hand guns - albiet limited.
I have been smitten by the romance of the "cowboy guns of the Old West". Problem. Where do I start in picking out a hand gun. Our local dealer has many beautiful Ubertis to choose from. Can anyone give me their ideas?
You will have to 'talk down' to me because I am really new at this. Thats why I am turning to all of YOU for your enthusiastic advice!!!

Since this one has laid unanswered for several days, I'll offer my best advice.
Find yourself a cowboy shooting website with a forum and ask there.

If you are thinking about both hand-gun and shoulder weapon, I suggest you give serious thought to a '73 model hand-gun and shoulder piece of your choice in .38/.357 caliber. Using .38 Special in both pieces will give you an easy introduction to both shooting and, if desired, reloading, which can add to the pleasure of any shooting sport to a great degree.
